Lucknow University students develop an application to manage negative emotions, check details

A group of students from Lucknow University have come up with an app to help you manage negative emotions. To make users aware, and help overcome negative emotions, a team of BCA students from Lucknow University came up with an application to manage negative emotions.

The application was also introduced in the Smart India Hackathon 2022 under the software idea category by BCA students — Charvi Mishra, Amrendra Maurya, Ashish Singh, Satvik Sharma, Adarsh Mishra and Yashika Mehrotra. The app has been praised for its targeted approach, its design idea, and human-centric use case.

As per the reports,it also made it to the grand finale of the Smart India Hackathon 2022 (senior group) in the software idea category. Further, they will start working with the National Council of Educational Research and Training, Department of School Education & Literacy at the Nodal Centre Kongu Engineering College at Erode in Tamil Nadu.

"It is important to offer the students a chance to excel in their fields of expertise. This initiative by Lucknow University has been designed to offer a platform to students to showcase their skills," said Prof Poonam Tondon, PR and social welfare dept head Lucknow University

The group was shortlisted through an internal hackathon that was organised among various groups in the university. Flaunting their unique idea to various groups from other premier institutes, the LU students are now headed to Coimbatore for the final round.

While speaking about how the app helps students, Charvi mentioned that "it is designed in a way that it gives tips to the students in an interactive way, while offering support and motivation. Additionally, the app is loaded with multiple features to help people overcome negative emotions."
