MU Winter Exam 2021: Mumbai University releases guidelines for Winter Exam
The University has also highlighted in the guidelines that it will be sharing the question banks for semester 5 subjects in all courses except BA, BCom and BSc.
The University of Mumbai has released the University of Mumbai Exam Guidelines 2021. The dates for the commencement of winter examinations for professional undergraduate and post-graduate courses will also be released by the varsity soon. The University has also highlighted in the guidelines that it will be sharing the question banks for semester 5 subjects in all courses except BA, BCom and BSc.
“The question banks will be shared directly with the lead colleges of every cluster, who will then share the same with member colleges. The idea is to bring uniformity in questions and a certain format for final-year exams,” the University of Mumbai notification stated.
The Mumbai University began to share question banks with colleges for the very first time this year in April. However, during that time, they had limited the question banks for final year engineering and diploma programs only. Owing to the COVID-19 restrictions, this year too, the exams will be conducted in the online mode and in multiple-choice questions (MCQs) format.
It must be noted that for the technical courses, including Engineering, MCA and Pharmacy, a theory paper of 80 marks will be divided, where MCQs will be for 20 marks and the remaining 60 marks will be for descriptive questions. Similarly, the exam paper pattern for architecture students will also change in order to incorporate descriptive and design-based questions.
The University of Mumbai has shared the date of commencement of exam for BE, BPharm, BArch, MArch, Law (three years and five years) and MCA batches. While the exams for architecture batches will begin in October, BE and pharmacy batches will have exams in November and law exams have been scheduled to begin in December.
