Mumbai University affiliated colleges have released the first merit list of Mumbai University 2021 on August 17 for the Undergraduate and Integrated programmes. The Mumbai University First Merit list 2021 was released by the affiliated colleges of the University of Mumbai on their respective official websites. To check the Mumbai University merit lists 2021, students will need to go to the respective official websites of the affiliated colleges or the official website of the Mumbai University. The first merit list of Mumbai University will have the names of the students on the basis of the marks they have scored in their last qualifying examinations. It must be noted that Mumbai University releases merit lists separately for UG and PG courses.
The Mumbai University admission forms were made available online from August 5 onwards. In order to participate in the admission process, students were asked to submit the admission forms online along with pre-admission enrollment forms on or before August 14. The Mumbai University second merit list will be released on August 25 and the final list on August 25, 2021. The online verification of the documents and the payment of fees on the basis of the first merit list will begin from August 18 and will continue till August 25, 2021.
The Merit Lists have been released for admission to around 743 affiliated colleges in programmes such as FYBA, FYBSWA, FYBCom FYBSc, FYBMS, FYBVoc, FYB Library Science and FYBPA. Some of the top colleges affiliated to the Mumbai University which offer admissions to the UG and Integrated programmes are Jai Hind College, Institute of Forensic Science, Ghanshyam Das Saraf College of Aarts and Commerce, HR College of Arts and Commerce, Narsee Monjee College, among others.

Mumbai University Merit List 2021 - Percentage of seats reserved
It must be noted that the Mumbai University merit list is prepared separately for all categories including Open, SC, ST, Defence, among others. Along with the categories, the merit list of Mumbai University is also released for streams such as Arts, Commerce and Science stream individually. This year, the Mumbai University affiliated colleges will also provide 100 per cent fee to students who have lost their father/mother, or both parents to Covid-19.

Candidates who are mentioned in the merit list will have to get their documents verified. The document verification process is where candidates will have to submit their original documents for verification on the basis of which their admission will be confirmed. Candidates must note that this is a very important step and should be completed with the timeline mentioned by Mumbai University. No such candidates will be offered a seat who will not appear for the document verification round of Mumbai University.
Candidates must note that the document verification window will close on August 20, 2021 at 3 pm for the first merit list. Once the document verification process is over, students will have to pay the admission fee to claim their seat in the desired college.
Mumbai University Counselling 2021
All those candidates who are mentioned in the merit list will have to appear for the Mumbai University 2021 counselling to secure their seat in the opted course. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the counselling session will be conducted online. The date and time for the Mumbai University Counselling 2021 will be mentioned by the varsity in the merit list. The link for connecting to the virtual meeting and the procedure will be emailed to the candidate at the email address specified by them in the admission application form.
During Mumbai University counselling 2021, candidates are required to get all their necessary documents verified. Once the verification is completed, candidates will have to pay the admission fee to claim their seat. The university will conduct a counselling session for every merit list.
