Mumbai University 5th Semester Exams postponed, new dates before Diwali ends
Days after students urged Mumbai University to postpone the fifth-semester examinations, the varsity has now given accepted their requests. Mumbai University has postponed the 5th semester exams. The students had been asking the varsity to postpone their fifth-semester examinations until after Diwali. The exams were earlier scheduled to begin on October 15, 2022.
"The Board of Examination and Evaluation, in a meeting, has decided to postpone the semester V exams till after Diwali. The students will be informed of the new examination dates before Diwali ends," stated a Mumbai University official. All the candidates who will be appearing for the Mumbai University Semester Exams 2022 must note that they will be able to download the new Mumbai University exam dates once the authorities announce them on the official website - mu.ac.in.
Some students have also written a letter to the varsity asking to postpone the semester 5 exam. In the letter, the students mentioned that due to the COVID-19 crisis the classes were held online for the past two years and exams were also conducted in online mode only, However, this time the varsity is planning to conduct the exams in physical mode and students have been out of practice of writing and they need more time to prepare. Few students from various universities have even gathered around the Bhavan demanding for postponement of the exam.
The officials had also assured the students and said that the decision will be announced soon after the board's meeting, as per media reports. Candidates are requested to keep checking the official webiste for all latest updates or watch this space regarding the semester five exam dates and other announcements.
