Mumbai University semester-end exams likely to be held in December; schedule to be released soon

Mumbai University will be releasing the schedule of the exam on its official website soon.

Mumbai University is likely to hold the semester-end exams in December 2020. The exams for all streams- arts, science, and commerce would be conducted online by the varsity this year. More than 25 multiple choice questions will be asked in the upcoming exams. The Mumbai University will be releasing the exam schedule on its official website soon. 

The varsity will keep digital supervision during the exam for all courses and cases of malpractices will be dealt with stringently. The Mumbai University is also planning to appoint vigilance squads to oversee the conduct of exams. As per a university official, these squads will be asked to visit colleges and seek photos or video footage of students taking exams online.

The semester V exams for final year students would also be decentralized and would be conducted at the college level his year, for convenience. The exams for the first and second year would anyway be decentralized, as per media reports. The questions that would be asked in the exam will be of higher difficulty levels and as per the university official, the colleges will be based to be extra vigilant.

The exam pattern for professional courses such as engineering and law is likely to be different. The exams will begin with the second and third-year students, and the first-year will be held towards the end of the session. The varsity has decided to skip the revaluation process as the exams would be conducted in MCQ format. However, the Board of Examinations will take a final decision on semester-end exams this week.
