Mumbai University Semester Exams 2023: Mumbai University students were left in shock after they were awarded more than the maximum score that the paper was set for. Around six students who took the fifth-semester maths exam has received their result where they have been marked more score then they have appeared for.
While some students scored 115, two scored 104. In November 2022, the Mumbai University BSc Mathematics test for the fifth semester was held. On Friday last week, the result was released. These errors were seen into the group theory subject of the fifth semester of the course.
Earlier, students who were present were marked absent. However, the result shows several errors, and the university officials said the errors would be rectified, as reported by TOI. "Students were given additional marks in the written exam, which points to the poor quality of assessment by teachers," said a former Senate member.
Meanwhile, Mumbai University has released the timetable for MU Summer Session 2023 exams for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Mumbai University announced the dates after the approval received by the MU's Board of Examinations and Evaluation in a recent meeting. The MU Summer Exams 2023 will begin on March 27, 2023. The exams will be conducted for 431 UG and PG courses.
For the academic year 2022-23, the third-year BCom semester 6 exam will be conducted from April 5 onwards. For the third-year BA and BSc semester 5 exams will be conducted on April 12 and the BMS semester 6 will be conducted from April 25 onwards.
