JD Institute of Fashion Technology & JD School of Design launch new degree and diploma programs in animation, VFX, web design, AR & VR in Bengaluru.

The JD Institute of Fashion Technology and JD School of Design have announced a new suite of programs in digital design and immersive experiences, aiming to prepare students for the fast-changing creative and technology landscape.

The two institutes announced professional diplomas and undergraduate degrees that blend creativity with emerging technologies such as animation, VFX, web design, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR).

Undergraduate Degrees in Emerging Fields

JD School of Design has launched two three-year undergraduate programs:

Bachelor of Digital Design & Experience (Animation & Multimedia)

Bachelor of Digital Design & Experience (Immersive Design)

While the animation program focuses on visual storytelling, motion graphics, and multimedia content, the immersive design track explores AR, VR, spatial interaction, and digital environments—fields shaping the next wave of creative industries.

The JD Institute of Fashion Technology will offer three intensive one-year diploma courses in:

VFX & Compositing

Animation & Multimedia

Web Design & Development

These practice-focused courses are designed for students and professionals looking to strengthen their digital portfolios or transition into creative technology careers.

“These are not degree courses but innovation incubators,” said Nealesh Dalal, Founder of JD School of Design and Managing Trustee at JD Educational Trust. “AI, virtual reality, real-time rendering, and interactive storytelling are not trends; they are changing industries. Our students are being prepared to innovate, lead, and transform in a rapidly changing digital world.”

Applications for the new diploma and degree programs are now open. The courses are intended for school-leavers, freelance practitioners, and mid-career professionals seeking to build expertise in areas like VFX, animation, immersive design, and web development.
