GATE 2024 Exam: The Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore will be conduct GATE 2024 exam branch-wise from February 3, 4, 10 and 11 in computer-based test in two sessions. The GATE admit card for the PG engineering entrance exam was released on January 4, 2024. To appear in the GATE 2024 exam, candidates must download the admit card from the official website: gate2024.iisc.ac.in. 

Without carrying the GATE admit card 2024, they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. The admit card includes information like the candidate's name, photograph, signature, exam centre address, exam date and time and GATE exam day guidelines to be followed. 

GATE 2024 Guidelines Mentioned on Admit Card 

Candidates can check below the important guidelines to be followed on the day of exam mentioned in GATE 2024 exam hall ticket: 

  • Candidates have to carry a printed copy of the GATE admit card for verification along with the original valid photo identification document submitted at the time of application
  • In case the quality of the photograph on the identification document is poor, they must bring an additional recent valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport and Voter ID)
  • The electronic copy of admit card is not acceptable
  • To facilitate identity verification by the exam centre personnel, they must report to the centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam
  • They will not be allowed to log in 30 minutes after the exam starts 
  • They will be permitted to settle in their seats before the exam starts. Candidates can log in and start reading the instructions 20 minutes earlier 
  • During GATE 2024, a virtual scientific calculator will be available on the candidate's computer
  • Personal calculators, mobile phones, watches of any kind or any other electronic devices are not permitted. 
  • A scribble pad will be provided for rough work. They must write their name and registration number on the scribble pad before using it 
  • If the scribble pad gets filled, they can ask for another one only after returning the previous one
