The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 for Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) was conducted in the second shift on February 15, 2025. As per students' reactions towards the IIT Roorkee GATE 2025 EC paper, candidates reported that while certain sections were manageable, others posed significant challenges, requiring a deep understanding of core concepts and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Some found the paper to be lengthy and tough.
- Yet many students expressed that the paper was easy and concept-based
- 4 to 5 questions were time-consuming
- Network and Analog had easy questions
- The mathematics section was easy.
- Overall, the paper was easy to moderate.
Based on initial analyses and student feedback, the expected cutoff for GATE 2025 EC is anticipated to be around 25-30 marks. This estimate is subject to change based on the final evaluation and normalisation of scores.
While the General Aptitude section was relatively easier, the core subjects presented an easy to moderate level, reflecting the rigorous standards of the examination. Candidates are advised to await the official results for accurate information regarding their performance and subsequent opportunities. The official GATE 2025 answer key is expected to be released in the last week of Feb. The GATE 2025 results will be announced on March 19, 2025.
