IIT Bombay Partners with Jaro Education to Launch CTO Programme

IIT Bombay CTO Programme: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, in partnership with Jaro Education, has launched the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Programme, an 8-month online initiative designed to equip senior technology professionals with the expertise necessary to excel in strategic leadership roles. The registration for the IIT CTO programme is ongoing at https://www.jaroeducation.com/chief-technology-officer-programme-iit-bombay, with the programme commencing on November 15, 2025.

Who are eligible for the IIT Bombay CTO Programme?

Admission to the IIT CTO programme will be based on a candidate’s academic qualifications, professional experience, and performance in the interview. All profiles will be reviewed and shortlisted by the Programme Coordinators.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Science/Engineering) from a recognised university
  • Current Role: VP: Engineering/Technology, Technical Director, Chief Architect, or equivalent senior leadership position
  • Experience: 8 to 20 years of professional experience
  • Career Aspiration: Senior managers from SMEs or large enterprises seeking to transition into CXO-level roles
  • Budget Authority: Responsibility for managing a technology budget of INR 10 crore or more

IIT Bombay CTO Programme

The programme is designed for mid to senior-level technology leaders, including CTOs, VPs of Technology, IT Directors, and senior architects who are driving large-scale digital transformation and innovation. Delivered through live faculty-led sessions, real-world case studies, and collaborative projects, the curriculum emphasises the evolving role of technology in shaping business strategy. Participants will gain deep insights into emerging technologies, enterprise IT management, digital innovation, and leadership skills essential for navigating today’s complex business landscape.

On successful completion, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion from Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay. The Educational Outreach office at IIT Bombay meets the knowledge-upgrading and upskilling needs of professionals in industry, academia & governance.“This programme is designed to bridge the gap between deep technical expertise and strategic leadership,” said Prof. Rajendra M. IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). The IIT Bombay admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list or counselling and other steps. For BTech, candidates have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Further for other courses such as MTech, MBA, MSc, BDes, and MDes, aspirants need to clear GATE, CAT, IITJAM, UCEED, and CEED, respectively to qualify for further admission rounds.
