IIT Hyderabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Hyderabad to stimulate and facilitate the development of collaborative teaching and mutually beneficial research activities.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Hyderabad to stimulate and facilitate the development of collaborative teaching and mutually beneficial research activities. The institutes have signed an MoU that will serve for the technical upliftment of both institutes.

The MoU was signed by Professor B. S. Murty, IIT Hyderabad, and Shri P Sardar Singh, Registrar, UoH in the presence of VC, UoH and officials from both the institutions to promote and enhance academic interaction between UoH and IITH.

The major objectives of this collaboration are to share and implement best practices for enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, and research processes. The other aim is to provide technical support for the research scholars, faculty members, and students to carry out the research work.

Professor Appa Rao Podile, Vice-Chancellor, UoH expressed happiness at UoH and IITH in formalizing this MoU. He also hoped that this collaboration will help both the institutions benefit in various fields.

He said, “UoH seeks to achieve the highest levels of distinction in the discovery &transmission of knowledge and is committed to working with IITH to bring this knowledge to combat the great challenges of the society”.

As a part of the collaboration both the institutes are also planning to conduct faculty development programs for the benefit of both the Institutions. Apart from this, undertaking collaborative R&D work/R&D Projects to having joint publications arising out of collaborative work, IIT H and Hyderabad University have further plans, as per the statement released by the Institute.
