The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has published 90 FAQs concerning the JEE Advanced 2025 examination on its official website, jeeadv.ac.in. These FAQs address a wide range of inquiries commonly raised by candidates, including details on the allowable attempts for the JEE Advanced, eligibility criteria, accommodations for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), the admission process for IITs, exam structure, registration procedures, regulations about the JEE Advanced, and the JoSAA counselling process. It is important to note that the information provided on jeeadv.ac.in is specifically applicable to JEE Advanced 2025, and candidates seeking information related to JEE Main 2025 should refer to the dedicated website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is scheduled for May 18, with registrations opening on April 23. The registration window will close on May 2, and candidates can pay the application fee by May 5. This year, the JEE Advanced application fee has been increased for exam centres outside India. Specifically, candidates selecting Abu Dhabi or Kathmandu as their exam centres will need to pay USD 150, while those from non-SAARC countries will be charged USD 250—an increase of USD 50 compared to last year. However, the application fee for exam centres within India remains unchanged.
JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 1 will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. To be eligible for admission to the IITs, candidates must attempt both papers. Registered candidates can download their JEE Advanced 2025 admit card between May 11 and May 18.
The JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria include a change this year. Typically, candidates can attempt JEE Advanced twice and those who appeared in 2023 are not eligible. However, following a Supreme Court ruling on January 10, candidates who appeared in 2023 and dropped out of their course between November 5 and 18, 2024, are now eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2025.
