IIT Roorkee to offer an online course in data science that will be conducted over a duration of 14 days. Read further to know more.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is inviting application for its online course in data science and will be offered over forty hours of instructor-led live classes. Anyone who is interested in learning the foundation of Python scripting and its principles and want to boost their career prospects in the subject can apply. Lectures will be conducted by IIT Roorkee faculty, and participants will also receive hands-on sessions from industry experts.

The course will be conducted over a duration of 14 days, and there will also be three hours of doubt clearing sessions on weekends. There are currently 60 seats available, and applications from participants will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Upon successfully completing the online course in data science, participants will also receive certificates by E&ICT Academy IIT Roorkee.

Apart from Python scripting, the course aims at providing learners with knowledge in the design and implementation of real-world inspired machine learning and deep learning algorithms applications. The focus areas of the course are as follows:

Project work with real-life problems such as handwritten optical image recognition and exploratory analysis on COVID-19 will also be given to learners.In order to take up the course to experience is required, however, a fundamental knowledge of any programming language would be beneficial. Aspirants can register for the course on or before October 26, 2020, and the online course in data science will be conducted from October 28 to November 10, 2020.
