IITGN to hold International conference on urban transformations, youth aspirations and education in India
The conference aims to develop an inter-disciplinary arrangement on the environment of urban transformations and the youth in India while fathoming policy dynamics in these segments.
The first day of the conference will consist of a short film screening named - 'Lifelines: documenting social change in the Indian Himalayas' by Jane Dyson, Professor Anthropology at the University of Melbourne. Many researchers and professionals from India and abroad have been invited as speakers during varied sessions that will cover various subjects such as; 'Peri-urban/Small Town Youth Aspirations'; and 'Urban Landscapes: Marginality and Circulation' 'Educational Conundrums of Indian Youth'; 'Youth and Political Mobilisation'; 'Studying the Youth: Methods and Approaches'.
Postgraduate and doctoral students, senior undergraduate students, faculty and researchers in Humanities and Social Sciences from all over the country are going to take part in this global conference.
