IIT JAM 2020 Student Reaction & Review
Alisha Srivastava: I gave the exam for Biotechnology. The paper was pretty easy it was not that difficult for anyone who would have studied for it properly. Questions were mostly from Biology, Physics and Chemistry and anyone who would have studied for these subjects thoroughly would be able to attempt this paper easily and pass it with a good score.
Anshul Singh: I gave the exam for Mathematical Statistics. My exam went well. The difficulty level of the MSQ, MCQ and NAT questions was above average. The test paper was almost similar to past years’ question papers.
Parv Takkar: I gave the exam for Mathematical Statistics: The question paper was good. The difficulty level of the exam was not very high. I had practiced past years’ question papers for IIT JAM and they definitely helped me in attempting the questions asked in the paper today. Maximum topics from which questions were asked were – Estimation, Random Variable and Limits.
Priyanka Sharma: I gave the exam for Biotechnology. The exam was good. Questions asked were not very difficult, they were average in terms of difficulty level. Maximum questions were from Mathematics. I had prepared for the exam by solving past years’ question papers and difficulty level of the questions asked was less as compared to last year’s paper.
Anjali: I gave the exam for Physics. My paper was average. I found the numerical questions to be easy but Section-A was hard. I couldn’t complete the paper on time.
Ramini: I gave the exam for Biotechnology. Exam was average. The numerical questions were mostly from Maths and I am a Biology student so I left many questions. Apart from these, questions were asked from Biology and Chemistry and students who had prepared well would not have found the paper to be difficult. I completed the paper half an hour before the stipulated time.
Samiksha: I gave the exam for Physics. My exam went well. Section A wasn’t very difficult but I found Section C to be very difficult. The test pattern and marking scheme was exactly as shared by IIT Kanpur authorities. Talking about topics from which maximum questions were asked then I felt that there were many questions from Thermodynamics.
