JEE Advanced 2023 aspirants approach Dharmendra Pradhan, NTA seeking extension of application window
JEE Advanced 2023: While the Students Federation of India (SFI) wrote to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan seeking his intervention, a delegation of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a pro-government students’ union, met the NTA officials with a request to extend the last date for registration, which was on May 7.
As the IIT Guwahati, the organising institute, decided not to extend the date of registration for the JEE Advanced 2023, several aspirants and student organisations have approached the Union Education Ministry and the National Testing Agency demanding more time to submit applications, The Hindu reported.

This year, close to 1.9 lakh students have registered for the JEE Advanced 2023 exam. The number of students who registered for the exam this year are higher than the previous years. The number of students registering for the JEE Advanced has increased by almost 15 per cent from 61.5 per cent last year to 76 per cent in 2023. Around 1.9 lakh registered for the 2023 exam which is an increase from the past years where candidates registration is from 1.6 lakh to 1.7 lakh.
In this year's registration, highest number of applicants are from Hyderabad, Patna, Jaipur, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru and around 100 foreign nationals have also registered for the exam. The reason for this year's highest registration could be the number of students appearing for class 12 board exams has increased. Reports also suggest that this year there is a 25 per cent increase in female students. JEE Advanced 2023 Exam will be held in two sessions for two papers – Paper 1 will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM and Paper 2 from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.
JEE Advanced Admit Card 2023
The admit card for JEE Advanced 2023 will be issued online only on the official website. Candidates have to use their JEE Advanced 2023 registration number, password and registered mobile number to login and download the admit card. The JEE Advanced admit card 2023 will be available for download until exam day. The exam date, time, reporting time, exam centre venue and all important instructions for exam day will be mentioned on the JEE Advanced 2023 admit card.
