JEE Main 2024 January 31 Live Updates: Shift 1 & 2 Question Paper PDF, Analysis, Students Reaction

 Candidates required login credentials to check their JEE Main 2024 result. Candidates need to use their application number and date of birth to login on the official website to check their JEE Main result. Candidates can also use their application number and password to check the result. 

JEE Main 2024 Result for session 1 will be announced by the NTA. The JEE Main 2024 Result session 1 will be released on February 12, 2024.

As per experts, students' should practice everything and revise all the formuals for the upcoming JEE Main 2024 Feb 1 Shift 1 exam.

Mathematics: Mathematical Induction and Mathematical Reasoning units were removed. 
Physics: In Physics, the Communication Device unit were removed from the syllabus. 
Chemistry: Surface Chemistry, States of Matter, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, s-block elements, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Alcohol Phenol and Ether, and Polymers chapters were removed.

The fees for raising objections in JEE Main answer key is INR 200 per question. 

• The JEE Main answer key consists of the details about the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam.
• It will have question IDs of all the questions that were asked in the exam along with the correct answers.
• The answer in JEE Main answer key will also be in the form of answer IDs.

Mathematics –Moderate. Weightage was given to chapters of Co-ordinate Geometry & Calculus. Co-ordinate Geometry had questions from all chapters- Straight Lines, Circle, Parabola, Ellipse & Hyperbola. In Algebra, questions asked from Matrices & Determinants, Probability, Complex Number, Progressions, Permutation & Combination- 2 questions, Binomial Theorem, Vector, 3D Geometry. Questions asked from GOC, Alcohols, Ether & Phenols, Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Aryl & Alkyl Halides mixed concept questions, Biomolecules.  Physical Chemistry had questions from Mole Concept, Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics & Ionic Equilibrium.  Inorganic Chemistry had questions from Coordination Compounds, Chemical Bonding & Periodicity. Some NCERT fact-based questions asked. This was an Easy Section.

Questions were asked from d and f block, mole concep, electrochemistry as per students'. This section was based on NCERT and most of the questions were from Physical and Organic Chemistry.

As per students' reactions:

The formula to calculate the percentile in JEE Mains is 

Percentile Score = 100 x (The number of students who secured a score equal to or less than the student) / (The total number of students who appeared in that session of a particular examination).

Many students who appeared in JEE Main January 31 shift 2 exam have reported that Maths was easy in comparison to other dates/shifts held in previous days. The questions were lengthy, however.

As per the initial reaction from students, Class 12th weightage was more than class 11. There were questions from conic section, vector 3d, and more. IOC is more. PYQ-derived questions were there.

NTA has announced JEE Main 2024 result date session 1. As per the schedule, JEE Mains result 2024 will be announced on February 12. The link to check result will be available on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in.

• Mathematics – This section was moderate in difficulty level. Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on chapters of Calculus. Other chapters included Permutation & Combination, Complex Numbers, Statistics, Progressions, Quadratic Equations, Function, Limits, Continuity & Differentiability, Application of Derivative, Indefinite Integration, Definite Integrals, Differential Equations, Area, Straight Line, Circle, Conic Sections with mixed concept questions. The Numerical Section had lengthy calculations from chapters of Calculus & Coordinate Geometry. A few questions were reported as lengthy and tricky.
• Physics – Easy to Moderate. More weightage was given to Electrostatics & Current Electricity. Other chapters included Kinematics, Gravitation, Rotational Motion, SHM, Laws of Motion, Magnetism, Ray Optics, Capacitance, Modern Physics, Work Power & Energy, and Heat & Thermodynamics. Numerical-based questions were Lengthy. A few fact-based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were also asked. 
• Chemistry – This section was easy. Organic & Physical Chemistry were given more weightage compared to  Inorganic Chemistry. Questions asked from Chemical Bonding, Electrochemistry, Mole Concept, Coordination Compounds, p-block elements, Solutions, Atomic Structure, Chemical Kinetics, General Organic Chemistry, Alcohol, Ether & Phenol, Biomolecules, Amines, Aryl & Alkyl halides. Numerical questions were based mostly on Physical Chemistry. 

JEE Main January 31 Shift 2 paper is expected to be as moderately difficulty as Shift 1 paper. Candidates can expect lengthy and tricky questions in the Mathematics section, while Physics and Chemistry are expected to be comparatively easier.

• Mathematics - This section was of a difficult level based on the students’ feedback. Questions from Calculus were dominant in the paper. Questions were also asked from Probability, Vectors, Determinants and Quadratic Equations. Almost all the topics were covered. The quality of the questions was good and the section was a bit lengthy.
• Physics - According to the feedback received from a good number of students, the Physics part was of moderate difficulty. Questions from Gravitation, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Current Electricity, Modern Physics and Magnetism were duly represented in the paper. Most of the questions were asked from the 12th class syllabus. Solving a good number of mock tests would prove to be an effective strategy to solve the questions.
• Chemistry - Most of the questions were theoretical with the maximum number of questions asked from Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. Physical chemistry questions were present less in the exam. In Physical Chemistry, the questions were asked from chapters like Chemical Kinetics and Structure of Atom. Questions from prominent Organic and Inorganic chapters like Hydrocarbons, Alcohol, Phenol and Ethers, General Organic chemistry, d-block elements and Chemical Bonding were asked. Almost all the questions are more or less related to or asked from NCERT only.

• Chemistry - Easy to Moderate with some confusing questions in Inorganic Chemistry 
• Mathematics - Moderate to Difficult. Tricky and lengthy questions were asked.
