As per the students' reaction, todays' JEE Main Shift 2 exam overall is same and Easy to Moderate. Physics and Chemistry was easy. Some students felt Chemistry moderate. Maths was lengthy and a bit tough. Some of the questions asked in Physics were tricky and formula based.

Maths - Moderate

Physics - Easy to moderat

Chemistry - Easy

Physics: In this section questions were asked from almost all chapters. Weightage was given to Current Electricity and Magnetism. Some good questions from chapters on Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work Power & Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics, Sound & waves, Gravitation,  Electrostatics, Optics, Modern Physics, and Semiconductors. Numerical-based questions were lengthy but easy. The Physics section had more questions from the 12th standard.

Chemistry: In this section Inorganic and Organic Chemistry had more weightage. Questions asked from GOC, Alcohols, Ether & Phenols, Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Aryl & Alkyl Halides mixed concept questions, Biomolecules.  Physical Chemistry had questions from Mole Concepts, Thermodynamics & Chemical Kinetics.  Inorganic Chemistry had questions about Coordination Compounds, Chemical Bonding, d & f block elements & Periodicity. Some direct NCERT fact-based questions were asked. 

Mathematics: Weightage was given to chapters of Algebra and Calculus. Co-ordinate Geometry had questions from Circle, Parabola, Ellipse & Hyperbola. In Algebra, questions were asked about Matrices & Determinants, Probability, Statistics, Complex Numbers, Progressions- 2 questions, Permutation & Combination, Binomial Theorem, Vector- 2 questions, and 3D Geometry- 3 questions. In Calculus, questions were asked about Continuity and Differentiability, Differential Equations, Definite Integral & Area. Few MCQs & numerical-based questions had lengthy calculations and were tricky.

JEE Main 2024 February 1 Shift 1 Overall Analysis 

JEE Main 2024 Feb 1 Shift 1 is over. As per the students', Todays' JEE Main Feb 1 exam Shift 1 is overall balanced and Easy to Moderate. Physics and Chemistry was easy, some students' felt that in the Chemistry paper few questions were theoritical based. Maths was moderate and lengthy. None of the questions asked were from deleted syllabus.

As compared to JEE Main 2024 other shifts, today's shift had some more tricky questions in Maths. Chemistry had theoritical based questions. Some of the students found todays shift 1 moderate as well. As, they felt Maths few questions a bit tough.  

JEE Main 2024 February 1 Shift 1 Analysis by Aakash 

Mathematics - The Mathematics paper was moderate to difficult, based on students’ feedback. The questions were not that difficult but a bit calculative. Questions from Probability, Matrices, Vectors and 3D were there in the paper. Coordinate Geometry and calculus were dominant in the paper. Almost all the topics were covered.

Chemistry - The section was largely based on NCERT books. All the chapters were duly represented in the section. A few questions were based on memory-based data and were confusing. Questions from prominent chapters like Electrochemistry, Nomenclature of organic compounds, p-block, d-block and Thermodynamics were asked. Overall, the coverage of the chapters was uniform.

Physics - According to many students, the Physics section was of easy level. Questions from Mechanics and Current electricity were duly represented in the paper. Most of the questions were asked from the 11th class syllabus. PYQ were also there in the paper.

JEE Main 2024 February 1 Shift 1 Analysis by FIITJEE Experts

Mathematics: Moderate

Physics: Easy to Moderate

Chemistry: Easy

Physics –  In this section questions were asked from Kinematics,  Laws of Motion, Work Power & Energy, Gravitation, Circular Motion, Heat & Thermodynamics, Magnetism-2 questions, Wave Optics, Capacitance, Current Electricity, Modern Physics, Semi-Conductors. Both MCQs and Numerical based questions were lengthy. A few fact-based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were also asked. Students felt the Physics section was balanced as per the coverage of the chapters.

Mathematics – In this section questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on chapters on Calculus & Algebra. More than one question was asked from Vectors, 3D Geometry, Differential Equations & Conic Sections. In Calculus, questions asked from Continuity & Differentiability, Area, and Differential Equations. In Algebra- Probability, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Permutation & Combination, Statistics, Progressions, Matrices & Determinants. In Coordinate Geometry, questions were asked from Circles, Ellipse & Hyperbola with mixed concepts. The Numerical Section had lengthy calculations. A few questions were reported as lengthy and tricky.

Chemistry – Organic and Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Physical Chemistry. Questions asked from Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding- 2 to 3 questions, General Organic Chemistry, Alcohol, Ether & Phenol, Amines, Aryl & Alkyl halides mixed concept type questions, Coordination Compounds- 2 to 3 questions, Periodic Table. Some questions were directly asked from the NCERT Textbook, which made this section Easy.

How To Calculate The JEE Main 2024 Score By Using Memory Based Answer Key and Question Paper?

Check below the steps to use the JEE Main 2024 memory-based answer key and question papers.

  • Candidates need to first open the memory-based questions and answers for the shift and day on which they have appeared for the JEE Mains exam.
  • Based on their memory, candidates can check the questions and answers.
  • If the candidates find their answer correct, then they have to reward themselves with 4 marks.
  • If the answer is incorrect, then they have to deduct 1 mark.
  • Therefore, candidates will get an idea of their JEE Main 2024 raw scores.

JEE Main 2024 Official Answer Key

The NTA will release the JEE Main 2024 official answer key. Also, the provisional answer key will be made available on the official website of the NTA for the candidates to submit their grievances within a certain period. Candidates will be required to pay INR 200 per question to raise objections in the provisional answer key. 
The final answer key will be released after taking into consideration the challenges submitted by the candidates. Based on the final answer key, the NTA will release the JEE Main 2024 result. The JEE Main Answer Key for Session 1 will be released under the candidate login on the official website.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
