JEE Main 2026 Paper 2A, 2B Today; BArch & BPlan Papers in Second Shift
JEE Main session 2 exam for BArch and BPlanning candidates will be held today. The exam will be held in one shift only, between 3 pm and 6:30 pm. No exam is scheduled in shift 1, that is 9 am to 12 noon. Check details below.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 exam on April 7, TODAY, in the second shift (3 pm to 6:30 pm). Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) must note that the exam timing, reporting schedule, and exam-day guidelines are crucial to avoid last-minute issues.
As per the official schedule, candidates appearing for either Paper 2A or Paper 2B will take the exam from 3 PM to 6 PM. However, those appearing for both Paper 2A and 2B will have an extended duration from 3 PM to 6:30 PM.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 2 Exam: Reporting Time & Entry Rules
Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre well in advance. The reporting time is around 1 PM, and entry to the exam hall will close by 2:30 PM. No candidate will be allowed to enter after the gate closing time under any circumstances. Early reporting will help candidates complete frisking and document verification smoothly.
JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam: Documents to Carry
Candidates must carry the following items to the exam centre:
- Printed copy of JEE Main 2026 admit card
- Two passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the form)
- Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, school ID, etc.)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- For Paper 2A (BArch), candidates must bring their own geometry box, pencils, erasers, and crayons for the drawing section.
Without these documents, entry to the exam hall will not be permitted.
JEE Mains 2026 Paper 2 Exam Today: Check Marking Scheme and Pattern
- Paper 2A (BArch): Focuses on Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing. It features 77 questions for a total of 400 marks. While Mathematics and Aptitude are online (CBT), the Drawing test is conducted offline with pen and paper.
- Paper 2B (BPlanning): This paper also focuses on the same subjects as Paper 2A, just the drawing section is replaced with Planning-based questions. It consists of 100 questions (all CBT) for 400 marks.
