The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 has recorded an all-time high of 14.5 lakh registrations. This marks a substantial increase compared to 13.11 lakh registrations last year. The JEE Main 2026 registration for session 1 was open from October 31 to November 27, 2025. This means that students can expect a larger number of participants in the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will officially release the JEE Mains 2026 registration stats later. But an idea of how many students applied for JEE Main 2026 helps estimate how many will appear for the test. Do Registration Numbers Affect JEE Main Percentile?
Students must note that the JEE Main percentile is not directly affected by how many students register. It depends only on how many students actually appear in a particular shift and how well they perform among each other. But more number of registrations in JEE Main 2026 definitely means increased competition levels and a higher fight for admission into top colleges.
Now that the registrations for JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams have concluded, the next stage is form correction. Candidates who need to edit their JEE Mains 2026 application form will have to log in to the portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in and make the corrections. All others now have to wait for the JEE Main 2026 city intimation slip, which will be available in the first week of January 2026. Candidates can check their allotted exam date and exam city on the city allotment slip for JEE Mains 2026.
No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.

No, candidates are not required to send the prinout of JEE Main application form 2026 to the NTA office. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form online only. However, it is advised that candidates download, take a printout of their filled application form and keept it safe until the completion of admission process. JEE Main 2026 application form copy might be required at the time of counselling/admission process in the institute.
