Candidates who have registered for paper 2 are advised to strictly follow JEE Main BArch and BPlan guidelines to avoid last-minute inconvenience or disqualification. As per released schedule, JEE Main paper 2 exam for BArch and BPlan will be held in single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

JEE Main Paper 2 Exam Date: National Testing Agency will be conducting JEE Mains 2026 paper 2 for BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlan (Paper 2B) tomorrow, January 29. Candidates who have registered for paper 2 are advised to strictly follow JEE Main BArch and BPlan guidelines to avoid last-minute inconvenience or disqualification. As per released schedule, JEE Main paper 2 exam for BArch and BPlan will be held in single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm. 

Candidates must report to exam centre as per time mentioned on JEE Main 2026 admit card. Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances once the gates are closed. They must also note that biometric verification and frisking will also be held before entry.

Mandatory Documents to Carry for JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam 

Candidates must carry these items to exam centre

  • JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
  • One passport-size photograph, same as uploaded in application form
  • Valid original photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence)

Stationery and Drawing Materials for JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 BArch and BPlan

For BArch (Paper 2A) candidates, drawing section will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates are allowed to bring:

  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Geometry box
  • Coloured pencils or crayons, if permitted by the centre
  • Rough sheets will be provided at exam centre

Items Strictly Prohibited at JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Centre 

Candidates are not allowed to carry

  • Mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices
  • Calculators, digital pens, pagers
  • Written notes, books or loose papers
  • Wallets, handbags, caps or metallic accessories

Any prohibited item found in possession may be treated as unfair means.

JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must note that paper 2 examination will begin exactly at the scheduled time. They must follow instructions displayed on computer screen and announced by invigilators. Check important instructions 

  • Talking, gesturing, or attempting to communicate with other candidates is strictly prohibited
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before the completion of the test.
  • Mathematics and Aptitude sections for both BArch and BPlan will be conducted in CBT mode
  • Candidates should read each question before answering
  • They should go to exam centre location a day in advance to avoid travel delays
  • Read all instructions printed on the admit card carefully
