Directorate Of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, the conducting body has released the TNEA 2020 application form on July 15 along with the information brochure. Eligible candidates can fill and submit the application form within the given timelines. Candidates must note that TNEA 2020 important dates are yet to be released by the authority. The registration process has begun on the official website of TNEA 2020 - https://www.tneaonline.org/

The candidates can check also visit the TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) established by the conducting authority to apply for TNEA 2020. TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFC) have been established in selected cities. Candidates can use the facilities available in TFCs.

Steps to fill TNEA 2020 application form 

TNEA application form 2020 is available online. Below are the steps to be completed by the candidates to complete the application process online. The registration fee must be paid through an online payment gateway like debit card/ credit card/net banking.  Candidates can also pay the fees through a valid demand draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, TNEA” payable at Chennai – 600 025. The candidates registering under Sports Quota must verify their original certificates at TFC Chennai only.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2020 (TNEA 2020) is completely an online process with the following stages – Online Registration & Application Filling, Certificate Verification, Online Choice filling, Tentative Seat Confirmation and Provisional Allotment. An e-call letter which contains the date, time and address of the TFC for original Certificate Verification will be generated and shall be made available in TNEA web portal. An E-mail and SMS will also be sent to the registered candidate.

A merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths, Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200 (Maths – 100, Physics – 50 and Chemistry – 50). The overall TNEA rank list is prepared based on the merit list with a tiebreak resolution. TNEA 2020 counselling will be conducted in four to five rounds.

In 2019, around 1.33 lakh candidates had registered for TNEA 2020 and out of which 1.04 lakh candidates took part in the certificate verification process.
