UGCET 2026: KEA Admin Oversees NCC Document Verification Drive

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducted physical verification and submission of National Cadet Corps (NCC) records on Thursday. This drive was conducted for UGCET 2026 for candidates claiming special reservation quota. The exercise was carried out at the official KEA headquarters located in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, to authenticate special category claims for professional seat allocations.

KEA Senior Administration Leads From the Front
In an effort to monitor operations and accelerate the processing timelines, KEA Admin Officer Islavuddin Gadyal personally took charge of the verification counter. He sat at the desk to personally review candidate records, inspect original NCC performance logs, and verify certificates submitted by applicants. His presence aimed to identify and rectify systemic bottlenecks, ensure data accuracy, and set a standard for on-desk verification compliance.

Each paper of KCET exam is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day.
Karnataka CET also known as KCET is state-level entrance exam organised by KEA yearly. The objective is to shortlist students for admission in undergraduate (UG) courses in participating colleges in Karnataka state.
The exam body released the exam dates for the KCET 2026 on its official website. As per the dates, the test was conducted on April 23-24, 2026.
Because UGCET special category seats are highly competitive, KEA implements a rigid multi-tier validation workflow and only students who declared and saved NCC category during the UGCET 2026 online registration window were allowed to present the documentation. Candidates had to submit their physical UGCET hall ticket, and had to fill application data, and original NCC certificates signed by authorized Directorate officials indicating their designated camp/achievement level.Β
Prior to the camp, KEA reiterated that candidates who failed to report or present validated records on designated date will forfeit eligibility under the NCC reservation pool, converting their status to general merit rank stream.
The verification of NCC documents sits parallel to the overarching UGCET 2026 offline document verification timeline, which is currently running and will end on May 22, 2026, for regular eligibility clauses.
