When will IIT Guwahati release the GATE 2026 application form? The countdown for the GATE 2026 application form release has started. The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati will activate the GATE 2026 registration form on August 25 at the GOAPS portal. Candidates can check complete details regarding the GATE 2026 exam dates, process, fees, and more below. 

The GATE 2026 application form will be OUT on August 25. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can fill out the form on the GATE 2026 official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The GATE application form 2026 link will remain active from August 25 to September 25 (with regular fees). Later, from September 26 to October 6, the application form will be available with a late fee submission. The GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.

Applicants who are eligible as per the GATE 2026 criteria can fill out the application form online only. To apply, candidates need to register at the GOAPS portal. Candidates are advised to keep all their details, documents, and certificates ready for the GATE 2026 registration. For future logins, candidates will be provided a GATE enrollment ID and password (will be generated after registration).

The step-by-step process to apply for the GATE exam 2026 is as follows -

• Visit the official website of GATE 2026
• Click on the application portal
• Complete registration and receive the enrollment ID and password.
• Now, log in using the credentials and fill out the rest of the details.
• Upload the documents as per the specifications
• Pay the GATE application fee (as per the category) and accept the declaration form.
• Submit and take a printout of the application form.

What are the GATE 2026 exam dates?

IIT Guwahati will conduct the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts: (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). The GATE 2026 branch-wise exam dates will be available a few days before the GATE exam date. The allotted GATE exam date will be available on the admit card.
