IGNOU 2025 registration last date for the January session is March 31, 2025, for all programmes in ODL and online mode. Interested students are suggested to fill out the application form online at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in for admission to their desired programme.

Indira Gandhi National Open University will conclude the IGNOU 2025 application process on March 31, 2025. Students who are willing to get admission in a university offering distance learning courses then they can fill the application form online at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. 

Students are advised not to wait for IGNOU 2025 registration last date and fill the application form at the earliest to avoid last-minute discrepancies. However, the authorities have extended the registration last date four times this academic session. But there may be chances that the registration last date may not get extended for the fifth time.

How to Fill IGNOU Registration Form 2025?

Students have to follow the below steps to fill and submit their registration forms: 

  • Visit the official website - ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
  • Click on 'IGNOU registration' link and complete the basic registration
  • Select a username and create a strong password
  • Login with the help of allotted credentials and then complete IGNOU 2025 application form.
  • Make a payment of the IGNOU 2025 application fee and submit the application form. 

Students willing to get admission to the courses offered by IGNOU are required to upload several documents such as a photograph, signature, educational qualifications, experience certificate and category certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC) candidates. Further, students are required to pay the application fee in online mode. The fee is non-refundable in nature, and it will only be refundable under specific circumstances.

Q:   What should I do after taking online admission in IGNOU?

Candidates who are selected for admission need to confirm their seat by paying the course fee. Here are few things that students will recieve after taking admission in IGNOU:

  • Once a students get admission into IGNOU, he or she will recieve the enrollment number and ID for future login to the samarth portal of the university.
  • Based on the choice made by the candidate while filling the application form, he or she will then recieve the study material. Soft copy is available on the official website of the university. 
  • Registered students also recieve a mail from the regional or study centre for counselling. It is an induction ceremony where the course is introduced to the students.
  • A schedule of classes is also shared through mail. For any query regarding classes, students must contact their study centre.
Q:   Can I take admission in IGNOU in August? What is IGNOU admission last date?
A:

IGNOU admission is conducted in two cycles, i.e. January and July. While the registrations for the January session generally get over in March, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) admission for the July session opens in June and remains open till Jul-Aug. The admissions are mainly based on the aggregate obtained by candidates in the last qualifying degree. Students who were not able to take admission in the January batch are open for admission in the July batch. Hence, the answer is almost yes.
