Nagaland University Researchers Revolutionize AI Learning, Achieving 94% Faster Results
Nagaland University's team has proposed a "Flexible Learning System" (FLS) that generates customisable learning content depending on individual student needs and requirements.
Nagaland University's researchers have developed a Flexible Learning System (FLS) that is intended to transform education by providing personalized learning experiences via Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC). This cutting-edge solution provides real-time personalized instruction, allowing students to develop at their own pace using customized course content as per their requirements.
The study, which was conducted at Nagaland University's School of Engineering and Technology, found that FLS reduces task processing time by 94%, considerably reducing reaction rates and making individual instruction more effective. The system assigns learners classifications based on their accomplishments, giving simple, moderate, or advanced information to assist them in succeeding in the course while detecting and resolving weak areas.
The study was conducted by Ramesh Singh, Chenlep Yakha Konyak, and Akangjungshi Longkumer from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. This analysis has been published in the International Journal of Information Technology. According to the group, FLS overcomes an important flaw in Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), which is the absence of real-time adaptive learning.
Unlike typical ITS technologies, FLS uses Multi-Access Edge Computing to optimise the use of bandwidth and task processing, resulting in effortless communication between students and instructors. This invention has the potential to alter higher education by increasing access to and effectiveness of individualized learning, as reported by NDTV.
Speaking of the event, the VC of Nagaland University, Prof Jagadish K Patnaik, shared his delight saying that the university is aiming to emphasise future potential versions to generate deeper insights into student learning patterns.
