Jharkhand Education Minister to take intermediate exams in 2022
Jharkhand Education Minister Jagranath Mahto, who faced serious backlash for being Class 10 pass, while releasing the Jharkhand Academic Council intermediate results said if he stayed alive, he would take intermediate exams next year.
Registered for Class 12 exams in 2020
He said, “If I stay alive, I will take the intermediate exams next year and I will definitely pass it.” The minister registered himself for Class 12 exams in August 2020 at Nawadin Devi Mahto Memorial Inter College, Dumri, Jharkhand, but he had to drop his plans due to the COVID-19 infection. He was airlifted from Ranchi to a Chennai hospital in October last year where he underwent a lung transplant after the organ was damaged by the deadly virus. He believes that there is no age limit to study and said the pandemic has majorly affected the education sector.
Jharkhand schools allowed to reopen for Classes 9 to 12
All recognised non-government private schools affiliated to CBSE/CISCE board, running in Jharkhand, where Class 9 to 12 studies are done, have been given the permission to begin offline classes. Students will need to submit their parents consent in order to attend offline classes. The announcement was made by Jagarnath Mahto. Along with this, all schools will have to continue online classes like before as attendance has not been made mandatory so far.
