AIBE 2023 Last Minute Revision Tips

Picking the right set of books is only the first step towards effective AIBE preparation. In order to crack the exam, it is important for candidates to have a well-formulated preparation strategy and a well-thought-out study plan.

    • Make a study plan and stick to it - Once you have a plan, follow it without fail.
    • Consult the updated syllabus and pattern - Exam officials from time to time update the exam syllabus, so you need to follow only the current syllabus; ditto for the exam pattern.
    • Take notes during the study - This habit will make you more attentive apart from helping you jot down all the key and difficult points that you can quickly revise.
    • Mind the weightage carried by various topics - If you look at the AIBE syllabus, you will see that the weightage is not the same for all the topics. In fact, some topics carry as much as 10 per cent weightage, while there are others that only carry 2 per cent weightage. This means you can't spend disproportionate time preparing for a topic that carries just 2 per cent weightage.
    • Complete the easy portion first - You may find some topics difficult and time-consuming. If such topics are not essential to understanding the subsequent topic, you may skip the chapter for now and come back to it once you are done with the easier topics.
    • Develop your reasoning and analytical abilities - These abilities will not only help you crack the AIBE 18 exam but serve you well in your career as a lawyer.
    • What else: Apart from studying the recommended books, keep a track of all the recent law cases and judgments

You may also go through exam preparation tips by AIBE qualified candidates. These tips will give you insights into how these candidates approached their preparation, the strategies they adopted and other such nuggets that you may like to incorporate in your preparation.

Tips & Tricks to crack AIBE 2023

Some of the other tips and tricks to keep in mind while preparing for AIBE 2023 include:

    • Time management: Candidates should manage their time effectively while preparing for the exam. More time should be devoted towards weaker subjects and a good amount of time should be left for revision and practicing of AIBE question papers.
    • Consistency: In order to clear the Bar exam in one go, it is important that candidates are dedicated and consistent with their studies.
    • Notes: It is always helpful to create short notes while preparing for a topic. Candidates can refer to these notes at the time of revision.
    • Tracking law cases and judgments: As per previous year paper analysis, few questions in the paper are asked from controversial and landmark law cases of past one year. Therefore, candidates appearing for the exam should keep important details of all such cases.
    • Important topics: While preparing for the exam, it is important that candidates start with the AIBE topics that hold maximum weightage in the exam. Important topics for AIBE exam include Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Indian Penal Code, Evidence Act, Family Law and Law of Contract, Specific Relief, Property Laws, Negotiable Instrument Act.
