The CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in a pen-and-paper (offline) format. The CLAT 2026 application window will open on August 1, 2025, and remain active till October 31, 2025, giving candidates three months to register. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially announced the schedule for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026, the national-level entrance examination for admission to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) law programmes at 24 participating NLUs.

As per the notification, the CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in a pen-and-paper (offline) format. The CLAT 2026 application window will open on August 1, 2025, and remain active till October 31, 2025, giving candidates three months to register.

Who Can Apply for CLAT 2026?

For UG (5-year LLB) Program:

  • Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum Marks:

General/OBC/PwD/NRI: 45%
SC/ST: 40%

For PG (LLM) Program:

Must have completed or be in the final year of LLB degree.
Minimum Marks:

General/OBC/PwD/NRI: 50%
SC/ST: 45%

How to Apply for CLAT 2026

1. Visit the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in
2. Click on “CLAT 2026 Registration.”
3. Fill in basic details and create login credentials.
4. Upload required documents.
5. Pay the application fee.
6. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
