The CLAT 2026 exam and the AILET 2026 are both scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, December 07, 2025, 2 PM to 4 PM. Candidates who are preparing to appear in both are in a dilemma. Check here what to expect now.

CLAT 2026 vs. AILET 2026

As per the recent notification by the Consortium of NLUs, the CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted on December 07, 2025. Earlier, the NLU Delhi also notified the AILET exam date as December 07, 2025. The registration for both exams will commence on August 1, 2025.

The National Law University, Delhi, released the notification on June 17, 2025 about the AILET 2026 application registration date and exam date. Since, the candidates who appear in CLAT 2026, which provides admission to UG and PG courses at 24 NLUs in India, also sit for AILET 2026 to avoid missing their chance of admission to NLU Delhi. A similar date of exam has brought a situation of dilemma regarding which exam to choose.

As per the previous year trends, the AILET and CLAT exams are conducted a week apart in December every year. So, this year also, candidates can expect a revision in exam dates.
