CAT 2020 registration cum application process will end on September 16 at 5:00 PM. Candidates who are still to register or fill up their CAT forms must do the last date. CAT 2020 registrations kickstarted on August 5 a week after IIM Indore released the CAT 2020 notification.
CAT 2020 will be held on November 29 in 156 cities across India. This year, the candidates have been given the option to choose up to six cities for preferred CAT test centre allocation. Despite the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, the IIM Indore plans to conduct the exam as scheduled. However, the conduct of exam will depend on the COVID-19 situation and government guidelines around the examination date.
Meanwhile, CAT registrations are going full swing. According to reports, the applications picked up by the end of August. Interested candidates should apply for CAT 2020 at the earliest to avoid last day rush and technical glitches due to heavy traffic on the official website towards the closure of CAT registration process.
Any candidate who is a graduate or in the final year of bachelor’s degree programme can apply for the exam. CAT application fee is Rs 2,000 for General category candidates and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

How to Register for CAT 2020 Exam?
Given below is the step-by-step process to fill the CAT 2020 application form.
- Open the official CAT website in a new window (iimcat.ac.in)
- Click on CAT 2020 registration
- Enter name, date of birth, email ID, phone number and nationality
- Click to generate OTP
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number
- Verify registration by entering the OTP in the given field
- After verification, login in again using the CAT ID
- Enter fields with required information
- Upload scanned photograph and signature
- Select MBA programmes and IIM institutes
- Select cities as preference for CAT exam centre
- Make fee payment via net banking or credit/debit card
