With just a day to go for the CAT 2022 exam, do the final revision, gather your documents, locate the test centre and go through these points to see if you ready for it.
CAT 2022 exam is all set to be conducted tomorrow across India. The exam will be held in three shifts - morning, afternoon and evening. Nearly 2 lakh aspirants are expected to appear for the exam. The test will be administered at over 400 well equipped test centers in 150 cities across India.
CAT is a national level MBA entrance exam and the toughest of all. Candidates have to solve 66 questions in 120 minutes. The questions are asked from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).
The VARC section has dense reading comprehension passages that make this section difficult, the DILR section has tricky questions because of which candidates find it time taking but QA section has straightforward questions which are mostly doable. However, the sectional time limit of 40 minutes for each section make the test look like a race against time.
Don’t worry, it only looks like a race against time, it actually isn’t. All you need to be prepared and be smart. Here are a few tips to help you sail through the CAT 2022 exam.
Are You Ready for CAT 2022?
With just a day to go for the CAT exam, go through these points to see if you ready for it.
- Do the final revision today evening. Don’t do it late at night.
- Collect documents and exam related items to carry tomorrow.
- Take two print outs of the CAT 2022 admit card and affix your passport size photo on both.
- Preferable use the photo uploaded with the CAT application form.
- Check the location of your CAT exam centre and make arrangements to reach on time.
- CAT exam timings are: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Reach the test centre atleast an hour before your shift timings.
- Go through the CAT test day guide for entry rules, dress code and exam related guidelines.
- Make an exam strategy. Fix a number of questions to target within 40 minutes. You can try more questions if there is remaining time.
- Target questions that are from the topics which are your strength areas.
- Leave out tough or tricky questions if they take more than 1 minute.
- Try to achieve the sectional cut off for each section first. You can improvise on it further if there’s enough time left.
- Be mindful of the time (onscreen clock) and keep locking your answers. Because once the screen moves to another section, there will be no way you can go back to lock your answers.
- Do not panic on finding questions tough. Keep calm and solve the ones you can. If you’ll panic and lose focus, you might miss out on easy questions too.
