IPRS audited report highlights strong recruiter trust and diverse roles across industries despite a challenging hiring season.

IIMA Placement Report 2025

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has released its audited placement report 2025 for the MBA-PGP programme.

For the IIMA, Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) report shows a mean salary of ₹35.50 lakh per annum and a median salary of ₹34.59 lakh per annum, reflecting an improvement over the previous year.

IIM Ahmedabad clarified that it reports salaries on the basis of Maximum Earning Potential (MEP), which captures the actual cash compensation students are eligible to earn in the first year, rather than the commonly used Cost to Company (CTC) that often includes inflated, non-cash components.

Prof. Viswanath Pingali, Chairperson (Placement), said the outcome underlines recruiter trust in IIMA graduates. “It is good to see recruiters placing faith in IIMA graduates even in a challenging business environment. We aspire to provide each student with a job profile that matches as closely as possible with their aspirations,” he said.

Recruitment Secretary Atharva Kapadnis added that the process was designed to give students flexibility to pursue the best opportunities. “Despite facing strong headwinds, IIM Ahmedabad provided students with the flexibility to explore multiple dream options, ensuring they could continue pursuing new opportunities even after securing initial offers,” he said.

The institute in its release noted that the 2025 placement cycle attracted a wider pool of recruiters and roles across industries, underscoring IIM Ahmedabad’s position as a preferred destination for top leadership and management roles. The report highlights that both salaries and recruiter participation increased even in a difficult year for business school hiring.
