Indian School of Business (ISB) has received a whopping INR 100 crore donation from the Motilal Oswal Foundation, the philanthropic wing of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited. This marks the largest single philanthropic contribution ever received by ISB since its inception, underlining the foundation’s commitment to advancing higher education in India.

The donation agreement was formalized in the presence of prominent leaders including Motilal Oswal, Chairman of the Motilal Oswal Foundation; Raamdeo Agrawal, Trustee; Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean of ISB; Pramath Raj Sinha, Member of the ISB Executive Board; and DNV Kumara Guru, Senior Director – Advancement, ISB. Their joint effort emphasizes the partnership’s goal to elevate business education in India to global standards.

Motilal Oswal, Chairman of the Foundation, highlighted the role of education as a transformative force. He stated, “Education has always been a force for transformation—opening minds, creating opportunities, and shaping futures.” He also pointed to the foundation’s ongoing support for premier institutions like IIT Bombay, IIM Mumbai, and Plaksha University, reinforcing its focus on creating spaces where talent meets opportunity.

Raamdeo Agrawal, Trustee of the Foundation, stressed the importance of executive education in India’s fast-changing business environment. He said, “ISB has become a centre of excellence in business education in India. Our contribution will help corporate executives build skills needed to compete globally and fulfill our dream of ‘Giving while Living.’”

Harish Manwani, Chairperson of ISB’s Executive Board, expressed gratitude for the foundation’s generous support. “This contribution will further strengthen ISB’s role in producing top-class business leaders and supporting India’s nation-building efforts,” he said.
