
Shiksha asked some candidates, “Are You Prepared for MAH MBA CET 2025?”. Here’s what they said.
MAH MBA CET 2025 exam is all set to be conducted on April 1, 2 and 3, 2025. Some candidates are still in preparation mode. No matter, how much they have studied in the last few months, they are still trying to accommodate more. Some are practicing one last mock test, while some are doing that last minute revision just before the exam. MBA CET being a popular exam in not only Maharashtra but also outside of it, thus that last minute push is expected. Especially because it is a gateway to some of the top MBA colleges in India such as JBIMS, SIMSREE, KJ Somaiya, PUMBA, COEP Pune, Xavier’s Institute of Management & Research and S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies, Mumbai among others.
About 70,000 plus candidates appear for MBA CET every year. The exam is moderately tough, but can pose challenges if you have not prepared well.
Are you prepared for MAH CET 2025? Shiksha Poll
Shiksha conducted an online poll to know how prepared are MAH MBA CET 2025 test takers for the exam day. As per the poll result, there’s still some preparation going on among candidates.
Out of a total of 822 respondents, 27% candidates said they are fully prepared, whereas 10% said they are almost prepared. According to 29%, some topics are still left to be covered, where are 28% are practicing mock test. 10% said they are almost prepared and only, 7% are doing revision only.

MAH MBA CET is a moderately difficult exam. It’s difficulty level is lower than CAT but higher than MAT or ATMA. A major factor that makes MAH CET a difficult test to crack is that the questions are presented in random order and sectional weightage vary in every slot. So, candidates cannot anticipate or plan how many and which type of questions to get to their target score.
Also, the MAH MBA CET is dominated by Logical Reasoning questions and there are comparatively less Quantitative Aptitude questions. Since, there is no set pattern, candidates cannot pre-plan. They need to make a strategy and implement it as soon as they see the question paper. So, those who can think on their feet and can crack the exam better than others.
Yes, you can prepare for MAH MBA CET in 6 months as the syllabus in not very different from any other MBA entrance test. The main subjects to study are Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Data Interpretation is the sub part of Quantitative Aptitude so you need not prepare for it separately. To prepare for MAH MBA CET in six months, make a plan which is more focused on the topics from which most of the questions are asked. This is to make sure that you prepare the right topics in the given limited time. Spend the first three months in covering the syllabus, then utilize the next two months in practicing sample questions as well as mock tests. In the last one month focus on improving your hold on important topics by doing extensive revision and mock tests. You can make your own plan according to your hold over the topics. MAH MBA CET preparation can be done in two ways – 1. Join a coaching institute 2. Prepare by self study. If you choose the former, you will get complete guidance from the teachers and mentors, but if you choose the later, you will have to be your own guide. Self study will require a lot more discipline and dedication. Take simple yet impactful steps. First of all, check the exam syllabus and see how much time you will require to cover the topics. If you are already familiar with the topics included in the MAH MBA CET syllabus, you will be able to have an estimation of the time required.
