MAT PBT scheduled on September 5 has been cancelled in three Kerala cities due to COVID-19 situation in the staate. Candidates can appear for IBT or carry forward their registrations MAT 2021 December exams.

MAT PBT cancelled

MAT 2021 exam scheduled in Paper Based Test mode on September 5 has been cancelled at test centres in three cities in Kerala due to the current COVID-19 situation in the state and related advisories by the government. Candidates who have been allotted MAT exam centre in at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kochi for MAT 2021 PBT exam can convert to IBT mode MAT exam scheduled for September 11 and 12. The candidates have also been given the option to opt out of September 5 exam and carry forward the registration to MAT December 2021 phase or later.

The same has been shared with candidates of exam centre in at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kochi by email and SMS.

โ€œIn light of the present COVID-19 situation across Kerala, and related advisories of the Central and/or State governments, candidates of Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kochi centres only are hereby advised that it will not be possible to administer MAT Paper Based Test scheduled on 5th Sept. 2021 in these three centres. Hence, candidates of these three centres are advised to convert to โ€œRemote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT)โ€ mode scheduled for 11th or 12th Sept 2021. Alternatively, these candidates could opt to carry forward their registration to next forthcoming MAT in December 2021 or later. These candidates have been intimated individually also by email and SMS, which they are advised to go through immediately,โ€ the official notification on the MAT-AIMA website said.

How to upgrade from MAT PBT to MAT IBT?

Candidates can make the changes on the official website of AIMA-MAT by using their login credentials. To upgrade to IBT mode candidates have to follow the steps given below:

  • Open the MAT website mat.aima.in
  • Click on โ€˜Upgrade to IBT/CBTโ€™
  • Enter email, password and date of birth
  • Click on โ€˜Loginโ€™
  • Go to the option indicating upgrade and follow the instructions
  • Click on โ€˜Submitโ€™ to complete the process

MAT 2021 admit card for September 5 PBT was released on August 30. The exam will be held as scheduled in rest of the country. Alternatively, MAT IBT mode exams are being conducted on September 4, 5, 11 and 12, while MAT CBT has been scheduled on September 12.
