TANCET Counselling Concludes; Check Refund Process

The Directorate of Technical Education conducted the SCA to SC round counselling on September 15. Candidates belonging to SC category were allotted the SCA category converted seats under this counselling round. Candidates who did not get the allotment even after the supplementary counselling round can apply for a refund of the initial deposit. The deadline to request a refund is December 31, 2022. Candidates can apply for a refund of the initial deposit, regardless of their allotment status as per TANCET 2022 counselling.

TANCET Counselling 2022: How to Apply for Refund?

While counselling registration, candidates had to pay the TANCET counselling fee. The counselling registration fee is non-refundable. After the TANCET rank list was released, candidates had to complete the choice filling process and pay the initial deposit of INR 5,000. The initial deposit could be adjusted against the first-semester fee.

Candidates who do not wish to accept the allotment or the candidates who did not get any seats via TANCET counselling can apply for a refund. To avail the refund, candidates need to fill the following details:

  • Name
  • Application number
  • TANCET registration number
  • Bank account details for refund
  • Allotment details

Candidates need to fill the above mentioned details in the refund requisition letter and submit the same to the TN MBA/MCA admission secretary at GCT, Coimbatore. Alternatively, candidates can also send the letter to the following address via post:

Documents Required for Refund

Along with the requisition letter, candidates must enclose the below-mentioned documents:

  • Candidate Aadhar / ID Proof
  • Front page of Bank Passbook for the account specified in the requisition letter
  • Provisional Allotment Order (If the candidate received the allotment)

The last date to submit the refund requisition letter is December 31. Requests for a refund of the initial deposit will not be entertained after the deadline.
