INR 15 Lakh for MBBS, 20 Lakh for PG, SS: IPU Announces Penalty Under Delhi Bond Service Policy
The Delhi compulsory bond service policy notifies that during the service tenure, UG graduates will serve as Junior Residents (JRs) and PG graduates will serve as Senior Residents (SRs) and will receive standard government remunerations.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced the commencement of the one-year mandatory service bond for both All India Quota and State Quota MBBS or MD, SS, MS students in Delhi. The Delhi bond service policy will be applicable from the academic session 2025-26. Medical students from the undergraduate or postgraduate levels have to serve in medical institutions under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) upon completion of their course, including internships.
The Delhi UG PG bond service policy will be applicable to medical institutions across Delhi, including:
- Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS) & Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital (VMMC & SJH)
- Dr. RML Hospital
- ESIC Dental College & Hospital, Rohini
- ESI-PGIMSR, Basaidarapur
- Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS), Delhi
Penalty for MBBS Students Under Delhi Bond Service Policy
MBBS students from Delhi have to sign a bond worth INR 15 Lakh at the time of admission. The bond will be forfeited if students choose to withdraw from the mandatory service period. During the service period, undergraduate medical students will serve as Junior Residents (JRs) and will receive remuneration as per the government standards. The Delhi mandatory service policy will be applicable for All India Quota and State Quota seats for students from medical colleges located in Delhi.
Penalty for PG, SS Students Under Delhi Bond Service Policy
MD, MS, DM, MCh students are required to sign a bond worth INR 20 Lakh at the time of admission in Delhi medical colleges/ institutes. The bond will be forfeited if any student chooses to opt out of the mandatory service period. During the service period, postgraduate medical students will serve as Senior Residents (SRs) and will receive the standard government remuneration. The service policy will be applicable for All India Quota and State Quota seats for students from medical colleges located in Delhi.
