NEET UG 2025, AIR 2, Utkarsh Awadhiya

Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh has achieved All India Rank 2 in the NEET UG 2025 results, securing a 99.99 percentile score in his first attempt. Also the state topper from MP, Utkarsh now sets his sights on AIIMS New Delhi. In this interview, he talks about his preparation techniques, board-NEET balancing act, and insights for first-timers and repeaters appearing in NEET UG 2026.

Q: What was your reaction when you saw your NEET UG 2025 result?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: I was very happy—it was a shock. I was expecting a rank under 100, but getting AIR 2 felt surreal. It was overwhelming at first, but now it has finally sunk in.

Q: And what about your parents and teachers?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: My parents were elated. There were tears of joy in their eyes. Relatives kept calling—so many that I had to keep my phone on silent for a while. My teachers were also very happy. Their two years of effort had paid off.

Q: What was your preparation strategy for NEET UG 2025?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: My strategy was simple—be consistent, follow what the teachers say, and be very focused. I was attentive in class and serious about every test, especially the ones at Aakash Institute. The regular testing helped me immensely.

Q: Was this your first attempt at NEET UG?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: Yes, this was my first attempt.

Q: How did you manage board exams along with NEET preparation?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: The syllabi overlap a lot, especially for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. So if you’ve understood the concept well for NEET, writing board answers becomes easier. Just prepare for English and other subjects around a month before boards—you’ll do well.

Q: Which subjects were easy or difficult for you?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: Physics was easiest because I enjoyed it the most. The most difficult part was rote memorisation—like line-by-line rectification of NCERT for certain topics.

Q: NEET UG prep can be exhausting. How did you unwind?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: I always reserved 2–3 hours daily for refreshing myself. After 4–5 hours of studying, I’d take breaks, play sports, or chat with friends. It helped me reset and study again with better focus.

Q: What role did Aakash Institute play in your success?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: Aakash played a crucial role—supportive teachers, excellent modules, structured planners, and especially the test series like NBTS and NRTs. Everything was well-organized, and I didn’t need to look elsewhere for material.

Q:   How much NEET score is required for AIIMS Delhi?
Q:   What is the AIIMS Delhi cutoff for all categories in the NEET UG 2024?
Q:   What is the qualification for AIIMS BSc?

Q: Which college are you planning to join now?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: I’m looking to join AIIMS New Delhi.

Q: Lastly, what advice would you give NEET UG 2026 aspirants?

Utkarsh Awadhiya: Be consistent and follow your teachers’ guidance. For droppers, my advice is: don’t repeat last year’s mistakes—reflect, improve, and stay focused.
