The Education Minister will announce the list of Top Universities, Colleges and other Educational Institutions across the country during a virtual event that will be webcast at 12.30 pm on nirfindia.org. 

National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2021 will be released virtually by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on September 9. The Education Minister will announce the list of Top Universities, Colleges and other Educational Institutions across the country during a virtual event that will be webcast at 12.30 pm on nirfindia.org. 

On June 11, 2020, the NIRF India Ranking 2020 was released. However, this year the rankings are delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns to contain it. Last year too the rankings were released by the Education Ministry online. Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras was adjudged the Top Institute of India 2020 (Overall Category) while Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore was the Top University followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

NIRF Rankings were launched in 2015. The ranking framework has various pre-defined parameters on the basis of which the Universities and institutions in the country are ranked. There is a total of 5 parameters are considered for the ranking of the educational institutes. These are

  • Graduation Outcome
  • Outreach & Inclusivity
  • Perception
