According to the Odisha School Education Programme Authority, the student's Education programme ‘Radio Pathashala’ will be broadcasted for the students on All India Radio from today, i.e. September 28, 2020, every week from Monday to Friday

The Odisha Government is all set to conduct ‘Radio Pathashala’ for the students from class 1 to 8 in the state considering the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 lockdown. According to the Odisha School Education Programme Authority, the student's Education programme ‘Radio Pathashala’ will be broadcasted for the students on All India Radio from today, i.e. September 28, 2020, every week from Monday to Friday. Students must note that the classes will be syllabus based and would be conducted from 10 AM to 10:15 AM in order to facilitate continuous learning. 

All the District Education Officers, District Project Coordinator, and Block Education Officers are asked by the State Project Director, Odisha School Education Programme Authority to ask all the headmasters and CRSSs to tell the students and parents to listen to the radio programme. The Radio programme will be broadcasted on all the Radio stations at the same time and will also be uploaded on DIKSHA platform for further reference of the students.

School's across the country are shut since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak followed by the lockdown imposed in order to contain the virus. While many of the schools resorted to conducting the classes online, some of the state governments took alternate teaching methods for the students keeping in mind the low internet connectivity issues and the lack of the necessary devised to attend the tests online. Most of the state governments used the Television and radio as the major mode of conducting the classes for the students while also continuing with the online classes for the students. 

According to reports, schools got the permission from the central government to work in half capacity while students from classes 9 to 12 also been given the permission to visit the schools on a voluntary basis to clear doubts.
