The CSIR NET 2025 December session exam is ongoing. In the Shift 2 subjects exam is ongoing are Mathematical Science, Physical Science and Chemical Science.

The shift 2 for the CSIR NET 2025 exam will start at 3 pm. It will conclude at 6 pm. 

• Plant Physiology: High Weightage (10-12 Questions) asked in part C
• Cell Biology few questions asked from GLUT 5, Ribosome attached ER, Spindle Assembly-gamma tubulin
• Development Biology Multiple Questions asked from Drosophila, Asymmetric Division-Plants, Leaf Development
• Evolution moderate weightage and questions were asked from Era-based classification, K & r Selection, mass Extinction Order
• Techniques is of high relevance and questions asked from TAL Effector, CDK-2, Ramachandran Plot
• Genetics few questions were asked from Poll 2 in Lagging Strand, difference between bacteria and Archaebacteria
• Immunology/ Virology question from HPV Virus
• Classification & taxonomy moderate in difficulty level and questions asked from animal classification, Annelida vs Platyhelminthes Symmetry

• General Knowledge questions were also asked in Part A. It was better than last year.

Also, as per some students, section B was easy.

As per the students' the Life Science exam overall difficulty is Moderate to Tough. Development Biology and Ecology was very easy.

• Candidates must follow exam day guidelines mentioned on CSIR NET admit card
• They must reach before reporting time at CSIR NET exam centre
• They must also adhere to instructions given by invigilator 
• When appearing for exam they need to carry a printed copy of CSIR NET 2025 admit card 
• Along with hall ticket, they must also carry any one photo ID card

• Clothes with metal parts, zippers, hooks, or large buttons
• Heavy embroidery or large pockets
• Shoes with thick soles or closed shoes
• Belts with metal buckles
• Caps or accessories that obstruct checking

The authority has not specified dress code for CSIR NET exam 2025. However, candidates must keep these point in mind when going to exam centre

• They must wear simple and comfortable clothing
• Clothes should allow easy frisking and security checks
• Wear plain tshirt or simple shirt, no heavy prints or logos
• Lightweight trousers or pants
• Simple traditional attire (kurta, salwar-kameez) without heavy work
• Open footwear like slippers or flat sandals

To download hall ticket of CSIR NET Dec session, candidates can go through these steps 

• Go to official website csirnet.nta.nic.in
• On homepage, click on ‘Download CSIR UGC NET Admit Card’
• A login window will appear on screen
• Enter application number and date of birth
• CSIR NET Dec hall ticket will be displayed on screen 
• Download save and get printout of it

• Do not carry bags, books, notes, mobile phones or electronic devices inside exam hall
• Do not bring eatables or packaged food, except in specified cases like for diabetic candidates  
• Do not indulge in malpractice or cheating and impersonation
• Do not reach late, entry after gate closing time is not allowed
• Do not leave CSIR NET exam hall before time is over
• Avoid smoking or spitting inside premises

Candidates can check do’s and don’ts mentioned in admit card of CSIR NET 

• Read all instructions on admit card before going to exam centre.
• Reach CSIR NET centre before reporting time mentioned on hall ticket 
• Carry printed copy of admit card
• Carry valid original photo ID proof Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driver’s License/Voter ID
• Paste passport-size photo and fill self-declaration or undertaking on admit card if required 
• Check exam details on computer screen and inform invigilator in case of any discrepancy
• Follow all instructions given by invigilators in exam hall

The CSIR NET 2025 Dec session first shift will over at 12 pm.

CSIR NET 2025 will be held in two shifts morning (9 AM to 12 PM) and evening (3 to 6 PM). Candidates appearing for CSIR NET Dec session must report at exam centre at least two hours before paper begins. 

The CSIR NET exam will be held on December 18. The first shift will start at 9 am. The reporting time is 7 am.
