In the prelims exam of RBI Assistant a total of 100 questions are asked while there will be a total of 200 questions in the Mains exam. All the questions asked in the prelims and Mains exams are objective-type multiple-choice questions. The language of the question paper will be in English and Hindi. Questions in the prelims exam are asked from English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Questions in the Mains exam are asked from Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The level of questions asked in the exam is of graduation level. To ace the exam, candidates should practice previous years' questions, mock tests, etc.

RBI Assistant prelims syllabus comprises topics and sub-topics from Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English Language. RBI Assistant Mains syllabus includes five sections that are Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language, and Computer Knowledge

The scores obtained by candidates in the RBI Assistant exam are calculated after deducting the penalty for wrong answers. According to RBI Assistant negative marking, 1/4 marks are deducted for wong answers in the exam. Therefore, candidates are advised to mark the answers carefully to avoid getting negative marking.

RBI Assistant exam pattern for preliminary exam is divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The question paper of the preliminary exam contains a total of 100 questions. The maximum marks allotted to the test is 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. Each section of the prelims exam is conducted for 20 minutes. The preliminary exam is conducted to screen candidates for the Mains exam. The marks secured in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list.

RBI Assistant Mains exam pattern is divided into five sections: Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Computer Knowledge. There are a total of 200 questions and the total marks of the test are 200. Candidates need to complete the paper within 135 minutes. 

RBI Assistant exam is conducted every year by the Reserve Bank of India. RBI Assistant exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Assistants in RBI. The age of candidates applying for the exam should be between 20 and 28 years. The cutoff for RBI Assistant prelims is calculated out of 100 marks. RBI declares RBI Assisant pre cutoff for English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.  Each question in the test is for one mark. There is also negative marking for wrong answers, ¼ marks are deducted as a penalty. RBI Assistant cutoff prelims is calculated after normalizing the marks of candidates. RBI office assistant cutoff marks for prelims exam is not counted for the final merit list. 

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Assistant exam is a highly competitive examination, and the RBI Assistant cut off marks vary each year depending on factors such as the number of applicants, the difficult of the exam, and the number of vacancies. However, generally, the cut-off marks for the preliminary round is usually around 70-80 marks out of a total of 100 marks. The cut-off marks for the main round is usually around 130-140 marks out of a total of 200 marks. RBI Assistant cut off marks are calculated out of normalisation. Normalisation of cut off marks is done to adjust the difficult level of question papers across various sessions. The cutoff marks are decided based on the normalised score.

RBI Assistant exam is conducted in CBT online mode by the Reserve Bank of India. The candidates must prepare for the exam in the CBT mode.

Candidates need to download their scorecards by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the scorecard is not sent to candidates by post. The syllabus of IBPS Clerk and RBI Assistant exams are quite similar in nature as they both test candidates on similar topics such as General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and English language. For example, the RBI Assistant exam may place more emphasis on Economics and Banking-related topics, whereas the IBPS Clerk exam may focus more on General Knowledge and Current Affairs. RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test assesses a candidate's proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the official language of the state for which they are applying. RBI Assistant Local Language Test is conducted in the official language of the state and comprises two components-written and spoken. The written component evaluates a candidate's knowledge of the grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. While, the spoken component evaluates their fluency and pronunciation of the local language test.

The exam day guidelines for RBI Assistant mains exam are given below:

• RBI Grade B admission letter contains roll number, password, date, time, and venue address of exam
• Candidates must visit the exam venue one day before the exam to confirm the location so that they are able to report on time on the exam day
• Candidates need to bring RBI Grade B admit card to the exam venue along with their recent passport-size photograph pasted on it
• Candidates need to hand over RBI Grade B admit card stapled with a photocopy of photo-identity proof to the invigilator
• Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
• Calculators, books, notebooks, written notes, pagers, cellphones, or any other electronic devices are not allowed

You join as an assistant in a particular regional office of the RBI. 2. You will have to serve a minimum of two years' service. 3. After two years of service, RBI assistants get multiple opportunities to get promoted to the officer level. 4. Normally, after a certain year of service, you can appear in the written test, and based on seniority, you can be promoted to the officer scale. 5. Other than that, RBI assistants may apply for merit-based promotions if they are graduates and have completed the JAIIB and CAIIB diplomas. 6. The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam is divided into three sections English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The Mains exam carries questions from Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The marks of the Mains exam are taken into consideration for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for LPT. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. The prelims exam serves as a screening test for the mains exam.

The initial basic pay of RBI Assistant is INR 20,700 per month (as per revised salary) with a pay scale of INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300-1440 (4) – 30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850-2850-55700 (20 years).
