Haryana government has launched a tablet-based learning programme 'e-Adhigam' in the government school, nearly 5 lakh Class 10 and Class 12 students have received tablets under this scheme.
Taking the government medical school education to the next level, the Haryana government has started the e-Adhigam scheme for Class 10 and Class 12 students. Under this scheme, nearly 5 lakh government school students of Class 10 and Class 12 students have got tablets.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar distributed the tablets to the government school students at Rohtak and such tablet-distribution functions were organised at other places as well.
“Earlier, schoolchildren had to carry books in their bags, but now, their books will be in this tab. The e-Adhigam drive has been launched in accordance with the new education policy which envisages the provision of education through technology in the wake of the Covid pandemic,” said Khattar, as reported by Tribune India.
e-Adhigam Scheme Details
With the launch of the e-Adhigam scheme, Haryana has become the first state to distribute tablets among kids. A total budget of INR 700 crores was earmarked for the scheme. Each tablet is 8.7 inches in size and costs INR 12,500. The tablets are equipped with multiple software and learning materials. The scheme is based on personalised adaptive learning and tablets come with management system facilities.
These tablets also have assessment and testing tools. Every day, the students will get 2 GB of data free and it has e-pathshala, NCERT solution, and free solution of NCERT apps installed in it.
Through this tablet, students will also be able to prepare for Board Examination, NEET, JEE and other such competitive exams. The tablet has the whole syllabus, mock tests and subject related information.
