National Testing Agency has commenced the registration process for CUET PG 2026 from December 14, 2025, which will remain open until January 14, 2026, with more than 200 universities including central, state, deemed, and private institutions expected to participate.

Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has opened admissions for its postgraduate programmes for 2026–27 academic year, with admission to all courses to be done through CUET PG 2026. CUK, Vice-Chancellor Professor M. Satyanarayana said that university will admit students to MA, MSc, MBA, MCA, MTech and LLM programmes based on CUET PG 2026 scores.

Speaking about the admission cycle, Vice-Chancellor said CUET PG system has streamlined the process for central universities and reduced duplication of entrance tests for students applying to multiple institutions.

PG programmes offered at Central University of Karnataka

The university offers postgraduate courses across humanities, sciences, management and professional streams. These include MA programmes in subjects such as English, Hindi, Economics, Political Science, History and Sociology, along with MSc courses in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Psychology, Geography and Life Sciences.

In addition, the university runs MBA and MCA programmes, select MTech courses, and postgraduate law programmes including LLM.

The detailed list of programmes, eligibility conditions and subject requirements will be published separately as part of the university’s admission notification for the 2026–27 session.

Seat intake likely to remain in line with previous years

While Central University of Karnataka has not yet released its official seat matrix for the upcoming academic year, past admission brochures indicate that most PG programmes typically carry around 30 seats each, with additional seats earmarked under EWS and other reserved categories in accordance with government norms.

Taken together, the university is expected to offer several hundred postgraduate seats through CUET PG this year, spread across its academic departments.

CUET PG 2026 application schedule

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started registrations for CUET PG 2026, and candidates can submit their applications online till January 14, 2026. The entrance examination is scheduled to be held in March 2026.

Candidates who qualify the exam will need to register separately on the Central University of Karnataka admission portal once counselling notifications are issued. Seat allotment will be done based on CUET PG scores, merit ranking and availability of seats in each programme.
