Under the CUET PG-based admissions, Delhi University released its first round of seat allotment for postgraduate programmes on June 17 at 5 PM.

Delhi University’s admission process for the 2025–26 academic year is progressing swiftly across undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and BTech programmes. With CUET UG and CUET PG as the central admission pathways, the university has reported strong participation, detailed seat allotment figures, and updated score-based cut-offs.

UG Admissions: Over 46,000 Sign-Ups via CUET UG

As per the latest data shared by Delhi University, a total of 46,366 candidates have registered for UG admissions via the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) portal. Registrations began on June 17, 2025, and are expected to remain open until mid-September, with seat allocations beginning after CUET UG 2025 results are declared, likely by the end of June.

This year, DU has introduced Class 10 marks as a tie-breaker criterion for UG admissions, in a move aimed at ensuring greater transparency and fairness in high-demand programmes. Students can apply for 79 undergraduate programmes offered across 69 participating colleges, covering approximately 71,000 seats.

PG Admissions: 67% Seats Accepted in First Allotment Round

Under the CUET PG-based admissions, Delhi University released its first round of seat allotment for postgraduate programmes on June 17 at 5 PM. As per the data:

  • Total PG seats allotted in Round 1: 11,314
  • Total acceptances recorded: 7,586, indicating a 67% acceptance rate

Students allotted seats in Round 1 were required to accept their seats by June 20 (4:59 PM) and pay the admission fee by June 22. The university has already published the Minimum Allocation Scores for all PG programmes across various colleges on its official admissions portal — a key reference for candidates awaiting subsequent rounds.

BTech Programmes: 134 Students Accept Offers

Delhi University’s technology programmes continue to draw attention. In the PG admission process, 134 students have accepted BTech-related seat offers as of the latest round. The BTech programmes are expected to expand further in upcoming admission cycles.

Important Updates & What’s Next

  • Round 2 PG Seat Allotment: Scheduled for June 24 at 5 PM, with acceptance and fee deadlines to follow.
  • Quotas in Effect: Reserved categories such as single girl child, PwBD, and orphan quotas have been implemented from Round 1, while CW, sports, and performance-based quotas will be considered from Round 3 onwards.
  • ER Clause for PG: Students with “Essential Repeat” status can apply for PG programmes, provided they clear the backlog by October 31, 2025, with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • CSAS Portal Enhancements: DU has added features like auto-acceptance, real-time seat upgrades, and error-checking tools, making the process more student-friendly.
