IGNOU Re-registration 2025

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the re-registration process for the July 2025 session. Students who are willing to appear for the programmes offered by IGNOU in ODL & online mode can re-register online from the official website. The IGNOU 2025 re-registration link is activated at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Students will be able to apply online by June 30, 2025. Students are, however, suggested not to wait for the IGNOU re-registration last date 2025 and do the needful at the earliest to avoid last-minute discrepancies. 

Students from diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate programs can re-register by completing the form online. Students should re-register as soon as possible to avoid late fees. They should also carefully review all details before completing the form online.

Steps to apply for IGNOU Re-registration 2025?

Candidates are advised to follow the steps provided below to fill IGNOU re-registration forms: 

  • Visit the official website - ignou.samarth.edu.in.
  • Login using login credentials, i.e. enrollment number and password.
  • Choose the desired programme
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Pay IGNOU re-registration fee in online mode.
  • Check all the details carefully and submit the application form. 
 

Candidates who have successfully completed the previous semester/ year without any outstanding fee balance are eligible for the re-registration process. However, the students must have completed all required assignments and exams and have not exceeded the maximum duration for the programme. 

 
Q: Β  What should I do after taking online admission in IGNOU?
A:

Candidates who are selected for admission need to confirm their seat by paying the course fee. Here are few things that students will recieve after taking admission in IGNOU:

  • Once a students get admission into IGNOU, he or she will recieve the enrollment number and ID for future login to the samarth portal of the university.
  • Based on the choice made by the candidate while filling the application form, he or she will then recieve the study material. Soft copy is available on the official website of the university. 
  • Registered students also recieve a mail from the regional or study centre for counselling. It is an induction ceremony where the course is introduced to the students.
  • A schedule of classes is also shared through mail. For any query regarding classes, students must contact their study centre.
Q: Β  How can I get admission for B.Ed at IGNOU?
A:

Application form for B.Ed can be obtained online from the official website of IGNOU. At least, 50% marks either in the Bachelor's degree and/or in the Master's degree in sciences/social sciences/commerce/humanity. Candidates, who are trained in-service teachers in elementary education, will be eligible to apply for the entrance exam and further for admission or who have completed a NCTE recognised teacher education programme through face-to-face mode. Candidates can apply for the exam online by visiting the official website of university i.e. www.ignou.ac.in. Thanks!

Q: Β  Can I take admission in IGNOU in August? What is IGNOU admission last date?
A:

IGNOU admission is conducted in two cycles, i.e. January and July. While the registrations for the January session generally get over in March, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) admission for the July session opens in June and remains open till Jul-Aug and sometimes even till September. The admissions are mainly based on the aggregate obtained by candidates in the last qualifying degree. Students who were not able to take admission in the January batch are open for admission in the July batch. Hence, the answer is almost yes.
