Who can challenge GATE 2026 Answer Key?

GATE 2026 Answer Key Challenge Process
If any candidate finds any discrepancy in the answer key, then he/she can object the answer key within the given timeline. Candidates can challenge GATE 2026 answer key following the process below -
- Go to official website
- Log in and select the option to challenge
- Choose the question you want to object
- Submit a valid justification and upload supporting documents
- Pay the challenge fee and submit
- Keep a copy for future reference.
GATE Answer Key Challenge Fees
The GATE 2026 objection fee is INR 500 per question (as per last year). Students can also raise objections to multiple questions if they want to. The accepted payment modes include: UPI, Netbanking, Credit card, Debit card, etc. Candidates must note that the objection fee is non-refundable.
What happens after GATE Answer Key 2026 Challenge Submission?
Once the GATE 2026 objection window is closed, a panel of subject matter experts will review all the submitted responses. If the objection is found to be valid, then it will be included in the final answer key. It must be noted that the GATE 2026 final answer key cannot be challenged, and based on it, the GATE result 2026 will be announced on the given date, i.e March 19.
Students must keep their credentials and necessary documents ready, if they want to challenge any question.
