Higher educational institutions can register by visiting the official website of Vidyanjali portal: i.e. vidyanjali-he.education.gov.in.
University Grants Commission (UGC) has urged the Higher education institutions to register themselves on Vidyanjali Higher Education portal. It must be noted that the portal aims to strengthen the support to students and other stakeholders through volunateerism.
The higher education regulator in a recent notification stated that “ The Vidyanjali programme of Ministry of Education (MoE) is aimed to strengthen support to students, faculties and Higher Education institutions through volunateerism. The initative will connect Higher Education Institutions with varied Volunteers, namely, young professionals, retired/ working teachers, retired/ working government officials, professionals, students of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD level, Corporates and many others towards providing academic and other support to the students, teachers and institutions.
Higher educational institutions can register by visiting the official website of Vidyanjali portal: i.e. vidyanjali-he.education.gov.in. HEIs can also access the detailed manual by visiting the following link: vidyanjali-he.education.gov.in/assets/userManuals/institute.pdf.
Vidyanjali is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Education, Government of India with the aim to strengthen support to the students, faculties and institutions of higher education by volunteerism through the involvement of the community, private and public sector, NGOs, NRIs, PIOs, etc. The initiative will connect institutions of Higher Education with varied volunteers from the Indian Diaspora namely, young professionals, retired/ working teachers, retired/ working government officials, professionals, students of PG and PhD level and many others.
There are almost 27 academic activities and sponsorship services that volunteers can chip in with for their services. In terms of infrastructure support, volunteers can also support institutions with basic civil and electrical infrastructure, classroom equipment for teaching, and digital infrastructure.
