UP CNET 2026 Stray Round Counselling Dates and Schedule
UP CNET 2026 Stray Round Counselling: The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University conducts the Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) every year to select the candidates for the B.Sc. Nursing Course offered by the participating universities. The UP CNET exam is conducted in an OMR-based mode.
The UP CNET 2026 exam was conducted on June 6 and ABVMU released the UP CNET 2026 result on June 13. The selected candidates were called for the UP CNET Counselling process based on their ranks and percentiles achieved in the exam.

In the UP CNET exam, there are 287 participating institutions providing nursing training across the state. The total number of seats available for the B.Sc. Nursing Course is 13,660. As per the official website of ABVMU, only 30 medical institutions have the aggregate 'A' grade in the total of 185 participating institutions.

The UP Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET) - 2026 nursing entrance exam was held on June 6, 2026. It is an offline (Pen & Paper Mode) state-level nursing entrance exam. It will be held for a duration of 140 minutes. The entrance exam grants admission to both the BSc Nursing Course (4 years) and Post Basic BSc Nursing Course (2 Years) programmes.
UP CNET Counselling Process 2026
ABVMU conduct the UP CNET Counselling online only and the candidates are allotted seats in the nursing college as per their marks, category and availability of seats. The candidates are required to report at the allotted college physically for document verification and submitting the admission fee.
In case the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, he or she can resign from the allotted seat as per the time provided by the University.
The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University conduct the UP CNET Counselling in three phases only. These are
- Round 1 Counselling
- Round 2 Counselling
- Mop-Up round or Stray Round Counselling.
The stray round counselling is the final chance to get admission into the BSc Nursing Course in the participating institutions.
